I painted these shoes for a charity to help build houses and wells for an isolated tribe in Ethiopia. They are isolated because they cut off other men’s penises and present them to the father of their brides-to-be. I will be traveling to visit this tribe and build houses then paint murals on them early next year.

I painted these in one day. It was a loonnnng day, but one day nonetheless! I am super proud of myself and this pair felt good to paint! They’re being auctioned off at the LA Convention Center at this very moment.

Please state specifically how, and by whom you wish your shoes to be customized by, and if possible, refer to our previous products so we can have a better idea of your requests.
Also, please tell us if you will be providing your own pair of shoes or if you would like a pair of new Pallas Jazz (only for GAKU and DANS) as your canvas.
Orders will be prioritized at a first-come first-served basis.
Current service charge ranges from $30-$50, depending on the complexity of the designs requested.

Gaku’s first custom shoes made for Kenneth.
Portraits of the customer were painted at the sides as requested, with abstract vines added.
Also, ageing effect were added to make the shoes look more denim-like.
